Clear as a bell articulation of what is actually going down. Thank you for your courage and patriotic fervor.

You may be the new kid on the block in the Senate but Chuck Schumer should immediately hand you the leadership mantle. Screw the “seniority” tradition, we need a leader!

Senator, I'm your constituent and I urge you to vote "no" on cloture on the Republican Continuing Resolution. I watched your videos, and while I hear you saying that "Schumer says the votes for cloture don't exist," I do NOT hear YOU saying "I will not vote for cloture." PLEASE let Californians know that you will not cynically permit this bill to be enacted on a party-line majority vote, while still claiming disingenuously that you "opposed" it. We're waiting.

Same here. I hear a lot of well-articulated lip service while he continues to vote on the financial bills alongside republicans that keep money flowing into politics and deregulating DeFi that is a big part of why we’re here to begin with and setting up the continued money grift as this bitcoin scam takes hold in government. We need money out of politics, which the progressives get and our CA dems don’t. CA and NY dems are too beholden to money in politics and it drowns out the rest of us.

Senator, I'm your constituent. Thank you for posting here. Equally for all the reasons you've listed, I fear for the loss of our right to protest and disagree, and our right to due process.

The laws are clear, but this administration have made intentionally vague, overreaching claims (that boycotting and protesting Tesla is domestic terrorism; that law firms providing opposite counsel against the government should be punished; and so many more). And now, Mahmoud Khalil was not afforded his right to counsel until the court intervened and rectified it; and the administration claims the right to strip him of legal residency despite not being formally charged with an actual crime yet. He won't be the last.

I don't know what my ask is, but please, at this juncture, keep wielding and maximizing your opposition power. Do not cede. Please vote no on cloture. Don't let the Trump administration pretend their actions have bipartisan support. If the government shuts down, we know where the blame lies.

Dear Senate Democrats: Trump and Musk are going to continue to dismantle the government with or without a shutdown—so do the right thing! The only hope you have of limiting further damage is by making Republicans come back to the bargaining table. Maybe they will, maybe they won’t—but you will never know unless you use the only legislative tool available to you—the filibuster.

Spot on with all of it. Great points all. The Trump Admin is acting illegally. Please vote NO on cloture on the republican CR. Why make their attempt to dismantle our democracy and our government easier? They can easily keep the govrnment open if they wanted. Please continue to fight for us!

Hello from Illinois. I do not understand why more "blanket holds" could have been put on some of these nominations for Cabinet positions. Senator Brian Schatz put on blanket hold on further nominations for Department of State after Marco Rubio was confirmed. Therefore Elise Stefanik is still in the House rather than at the UN.

How many blanket holds can be placed at one time? I asked in an email for Senator Durbin to put a blanket hold on DOJ nominations. I asked Senator Duckworth to put a blanket hold and Department of Defense nominations.

Thank you.
